On Thursday at 1:41 p.m. a lake effect snow warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 9 p.m. until Saturday 7 a.m. for Oswego County.
Friday will be mainly dry as the lake effect wraps up. Through the morning, some breaks in the clouds will allows for some moment of sunshine, but that won’t last long. The afternoon is quite cloudy.
Environment and Climate Change Canada has a message for Meadow Lake residents: delay your travel. Conditions have deteriorated as snow squalls and blowing snow are reducing visibility to near zero.
Thursday was a “milder” and fairly quiet day, but a cold front moving through Thursday night will usher in some slightly chillier air on Friday and that will lead to some limited lake effect snow.
