The Hollywood Reporter has learned that the film's embattled best actress Oscar nominee Karla Sofía Gascon will no longer be coming to the U.S. for any of this week's many awards activities.

It didn't take long for the finger-pointing to begin in the wake of the spectacular implosion of Karla Sofía Gascón's Oscar campaign for Best Actress in "Emilia Pérez" after an archive of her racist tweets insulting Blacks,

Gascón stars as a Mexican drug lord who, with the help of a lawyer (Zoe Saldaña), undergoes gender-affirming surgery. Later, she emerges to reconnect with the children she had with her ex-wife, played by Selena Gomez.
