U.S. President Donald Trump has declared a trade war on Canada, prompting the federal government, provinces and territories to launch their own countermeasures to hit back at the American economy.
Premier Doug Ford has ordered the LCBO to strip its shelves of American products in response to the U.S. imposing 25 per cent tariffs on most Canadian imports starting Tuesday.
"Alberta will do everything in its power to convince the U.S. president and Congress, as well as the American people, to reverse this mutually destructive policy," Premier Danielle Smith said.
