A car bomb killed at least 15 people in the northern Syrian city of Manbij on Monday, the second attack there in three days and Syria's deadliest since Bashar al-Assad was toppled from power in December.

A car bomb went off on a main road on the outskirts of the northern city of Manbij, Syria's civil defense said. Most of those killed were women, while over a dozen others were injured.

The car detonated next to another vehicle carrying mostly female agricultural workers on the outskirts of the city of Manbij, in Syria's northern Aleppo province.
